Every now and again, friend and fellow creative Lindsay Vigue hosts an open studio night. The entire purpose of this, beside to enjoy ourselves and network, is to CREATE. In a nutshell, hair & make up artists, models, bands/dj’s and photogs all get together for a night of fun.
If you ever have an opportunity to do something similar, where ever you are, I highly recommend it. That many artists in one space is guaranteed inspiration! It’s an atmosphere of learning and encouragement that anyone would benefit from. =)

Good idea 🙂 Might advertise in the local paper
This is one of the reasons I love photography classes! I have found photographers to be some of the most generous people when it comes to sharing expertise and advice.
I can’t speak for all photogs, but personally, I do think everyone benefits from more art in the world. I think there are some people that are worried about giving competitors an advantage, but in my experience, it seems as though creating lasting working relationaships with other photogs outweighs any loss to competition.

Thanks! Studio nights are a lot of fun. I actually didn’t do much shooting…spent more time helping set up shots…but I got a few good photos. =)
