Key’s View Sunrise

Welp, almost exactly one year ago, I was dragging my butt out of a comfy-ish bed to yawn my way out to Key’s View in Joshua Tree National Park.  It was one of my better decisions in life. 🙂

I’ve finally gotten around to editing this pano and I’m not gonna lie…pretty darn proud of this. It turned out very close to what I envisioned when I was setting up for the series (aka, trying very hard not to slide down the scree with my tripod and camera!).

Hopefully, you guys enjoy the view!

I find most of photography is making the effort to put yourself in the right place at the right time. You certainly did so here, that’s a gorgeous shot.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I agree, there is a certain level of discomfort that goes hand in hand with making good photos. haha The things we do for the shot, huh? 😉

Wow, very nice shot, indeed. I plan to go out and shoot nature too, but seems I am a bit lazy (it wasn’t like that a few Years ago, but then I had more free time too). Anyway – congrats on such beatiful photo.

haha I hear you 100%…it’s hard to find time and energy sometime, after you take care of the rest of your resposibilities.

Thank you for the kind words!

I love Joshua Tree too. Nice light, good view from this spot. When I was there the view from here was so foggy that you couldn’t see more than a mile or so into the distance. Much more visibility here.

We actually started the trip thinking it was a bust. I was planning to do star trails the night before, and it snowed! Thankfully it cleared up by sunrise though.

Thanks for the kind words. 🙂
