This is one of those beautiful small scenes the Catskills in NY is known for. We got here during mediocre light (by photographer standards…aka a nice day to everyone else haha) so I struggled a bit with this edit. What do you guys prefer? Black & White? Or color?

I prefer the B&W but it is a difficult choice though. Both were processed beautifully!
Great photo either way, Shannon, but I’m leaning towards the color version. I like the warmth of the foliage and rocks above and left of the falls.
I think i’d go for the B&W as it copes better with the lighting. The colour tends to be a bit more distracting.

I think the B&W allows my eye to rest on the water fall and not get pulled up to the sky as much so my vote goes to the B&W.

I prefer the color one. I like to be able to see the colors of the plants, rocks, water… It’s so fresh!
Seems like it’s evenly divided. I like both but prefer the color.
My eyes are pulled more strongly to the waterfall in the B&W, while not losing sight of the bridge overhead. It feels less distracting than the color, although both images are beautiful.
