The Watcher :: ME

This is throwback to summer 2017 when I took a last minute road trip to Nubble light with some friends. If I recall correctly, I think there was a chance of northern lights…. but in the time it took to get there, the kp died down and we were “stuck” with just the Milky Way. ❤️

This is 8 frames stitched together into a pano, with a little magic dust sprinkled on top.

This? Or That?

It bothered me all night, and into today so I figured I should take a poll!  Feedback is appreciated!

Sunset and a Smile

Sky on Fire

Sky on Fire

I came from a B&W film background, where the color of the sky doesn’t matter.  To have success as a B&W photog, you need to train your eyes to see things like texture, lines and composition.

Whenever I’m teaching a new student, I remind them that there has to be more to a photo than just a pretty sunset.  Light is so very important, but it is not the only thing that goes into making a great photograph.

That being said, some sunsets are just too spectacular not to preserve!  This was taken a while ago, but it makes me smiile every time I see it.  I hope you enjoy it as well! 🙂

Flat Iron - NYC

Flat Iron - NYC

Next weekend I’m planning to road…er…train trip it to NYC to meet a good, long distance friend for a photowalk.  Obviously, I’m looking back through some of my previous NYC photos, and came across this guy…one of my favorite shots from a trip last year.

Does anyone have any good photo suggestions for next weekend? =)
